Now the 30-day ticket is even cheaper!
On September 1st, the price of the 30-day ticket was reduced for all ticket categories when travelling within one fare zone. The price reduction applies to bus and tram, train travel in zone A, on-demand transport and express boat services.
The reduced price applies for a limited period. No refunds will be given for period tickets purchased before September 1st as a result of the price reduction.
This is the price reduction
The price reduction varies depending on the mode of transport:
Bus, tram, on-demand transport and train (train travel in zone A)
- NOK 160 discount for adults, youth, students and the HjemJobbHjem ticket
- NOK 80 discount for children and seniors
Express boat
- NOK 160 discount for all customer categories: adults, children, seniors, youth and students
Temporary suspension of sales of selected period tickets
Because the 30-day ticket is now cheaper, for some ticket categories it will be more affordable to buy several 30-day tickets rather than one longer period ticket.
The following tickets will therefore be temporarily unavailable for purchase for as long as the reduced prices apply:
Bus, tram and on-demand transport
- 180-day ticket for all ticket categories
Express boat
- 60-day ticket for children, seniors and students
- 180-day ticket for children and seniors
If you have already purchased one of these period tickets, you can continue to use it as normal until it expires.
More than just bus and tram
If you have an active period ticket for fare zone A, several additional benefits are included. Zone A includes Trondheim, Malvik, Stjørdal, Melhus, Skaun and Orkland.
Benefits included with the 30-day ticket
- Trondheim City Bike included for up to 30 minutes per trip
- Two hours of car sharing included per month
- Train travel in zone A, between Hovin and Skatval
- Night bus travel for children, students and seniors
- Unlimited travel by bus, tram and train for as long as your ticket is valid
These benefits also apply to the 7-day ticket.

Background to the price reduction
Why are the tickets becoming cheaper?
The price reduction is made possible through a government funding scheme for county authorities. The aim is to make public transport more attractive and encourage more people to choose environmentally friendly travel.
We will keep you updated if there are any changes to how long the reduced prices will apply.
The price reduction is temporary
The reduced prices apply for a limited period. No refunds will be given for period tickets purchased before the price reduction takes effect.
