Going to Neon or Trondheim Rocks? Here's how to travel to Lade

Neon takes place on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June, and Trondheim Rocks on Sunday 7 June, at the new arena at Ladesletta. Find travel tips for getting to and from Lade during the festival weekend.

Closed roads and stops

Some roads and stops closest to the arena will be closed to traffic to ensure safe passage. For public transport, this means:

  • Between 22:30 and 23:30, when the events end, Håkon VIIs gate is completely closed, including to buses. During this period, the two nearest stops – Ingemann Torps vei and Lade idrettsanlegg – are not served.
  • During this period, Line 2 is diverted via Ladeveien and Olav Engelbrektssons gate.

How to travel to and from the arena

Line 2 (Lund–city centre–Strindheim) stops right next to the arena and runs to and from the city centre. When the events end, we add extra buses from Ladeveien to the city centre.

You can also travel to and from the arena on line 13 (Østmarkneset–Lerkendal–Havstad) and line 20 (Romolslia–city centre–Grilstad). Line 15 (Østmarkneset–Torgård) runs during the daytime, but not on Sunday. Use one of the stops in the table below.

Please note: Regular lines run Saturday and Sunday timetables on the weekend.

Four hot travel tips!

  1. Line 13 is a smart choice to and from Byåsen – it runs directly to Havstad, bypassing the city centre, and serves several stops near the arena.
  2. Line 20 serves the stop Lade gård, which is also very close to the arena.
  3. Up for a short walk? The stops Dalen hageby, Strindheim (hub) and Gildheim aren't far away, and several bus lines pass through there.
  4. Trondheim Bysykkel (the city bike scheme) has a station right by the arena entrance, and if you have a periodic ticket from AtB, you can use city bikes free of charge for up to 30 minutes at a time.
