HjemJobbHjem is a joint initiative between Miljøpakken and AtB. The goal is to support companies that want to help their employees walk, cycle, or use public transport to get to work – instead of driving.
This initiative contributes to the Norwegian government's zero-growth goal, which means that all future growth in personal travel should be absorbed by public transport, cycling, or walking – not by increased car traffic.
How to become a HjemJobbHjem company
To join HjemJobbHjem, a company must be committed and willing to make some changes – such as adjusting its parking policy to help reduce car use.
In return, the company gains access to discounted public transport tickets, expert advice, and a range of benefits that encourage employees to choose greener ways of getting to work. It’s a win–win for employees, the company, and the environment.
Criteria for becoming a HjemJobbHjem company
- Has or more 20 employees.
- Has good public transport coverage where the company is located.
- Is willing to make changes to its current parking arrangements.
- Has employees open to trying alternatives to driving.
- Can commit to a one-year participation in the program.
