Night bus and night tram

Night buses and trams run on Saturday and Sunday nights in Trondheim, and to Malvik, Melhus, Skaun, Stjørdal and Orkanger.

Trondheim municipality

Night buses

All buses, except lines 112 to Klæbu and 114 to Byneset, run every 30 minutes from 01:30 am to 03:30 am on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Tram, linje 9

The tram departs from Ila towards Lian at 01:20 am, 02:20 am, and 03:20 am. The stops St. Olavs gate, Hospitalskirka, and Skansen will not be served due to roadworks.

Klæbu, line 112

Runs 01:30 am and 03:30 am night to Saturday and Sunday. 

Byneset, line 114

Runs 01:30 am and 03:30 am night to Saturday and Sunday. 

 

Melhus municipality

Line 110 Dronningens gate – Melhus – Brekkåsen

Runs 01:30 am and 03:30 am night to Saturday and Sunday. 

Malvik and Stjørdal municipality

Line 116 Dronningens gate – Hommelvik – Stjørdal

Runs 01:30 am and 03:30 am night to Saturday and Sunday. 

Skaun and Orkland municiplaity

Line 4101 Trondheim S – Dronningens gate – Orkanger

Runs 01:33 am night to Saturday and 01:33 am and 02:33 am night to Sunday.

How to buy a night ticket

To travel by night bus or tram, you need to buy a separate night ticket. The ticket can be purchased in the AtB app or by SMS. You must show the ticket to the driver when boarding.

Note: The ticket is only available for purchase in the app between 01:00 and 04:30 on Saturday and Sunday nights.

 

Night bus included in the periodic ticket

With a periodic ticket for children, students, seniors or a youth ticket, night bus and tram are included. Does not apply to 24-hour tickets.
