Wheelchair

Bus, Trondheim area

All buses have low entrances and ramps for easy boarding with wheelchairs. There are designated areas for wheelcahirs located near the driver. Wheelchairs must be secured.

All buses have door open buttons at several doors. On the front doors there are four buttons with different functions. When touching the two lower buttons upon boarding or disembarking, you call the driver's attention for extra time or assistance. Inside the bus there are also stop buttons that will give the driver the same message. When these buttons are pressed, the doors will not automatically close and the driver must close them manually.

If needed, drivers will always be able to leave the driver's seat to help those who may need it. This also applies to the metro buses, where the drivers sit somewhat more shielded.

There is usually room for wheelchairs with maximum dimensions:

  • Length 120 cm
  • Width 70 cm
  • Height 109 cm
  • Weight 300 kg
